Entity propagation will run continuously in the background, including when running consolidation. Entity propagation will no longer delete previously propagated entities. This means that if a user deletes a propagated entity, that entity will not be automatically replaced by the background process. The benefits of this approach are that the propagated entities will become available to reviewers sooner and propagation will run for a shorter period of time after consolidation has been run. If an entity propagation background task is running at the time consolidation is run, then the background task will be paused during consolidation and restarted after consolidation.

This enhancement also supports Canopy’s service for customers that supplies structured non-exfiltrated data used to propagate entities in the compromised data.

The consolidation process has been refactored to include entity deduplication.
