Uploaded ISO containers were being promoted to review with a status of “Ready for Assessment.” Now, ISO containers will be changed to a status of “Finished” after files have been extracted.
A user was not able to delete an entity from Related Entities under the Master Entities view. This issue has been fixed.
In some cases, PII detection was not accurate for tables inside MS Word documents due to CRLF values. This has been fixed.
Now, when an upload fails due to a browser session change, all subsequent uploads will also be marked as “Failed.” Previously, when an upload failed due to a browser session change, all subsequent uploads displayed “Pending" and never resumed.
Canopy now includes the body of an email as one of the default fields when calculating the hash value for deduplication. Email deduplication can be configured in either the Settings->Project->Template & Layouts->Processing Template or during the upload in the Upload->Processing configuration step.
When viewing a document, all PII is highlighted by default. Reviewers can now select which system and custom elements to highlight on a document; deselect or select all PII elements to highlight; and hover over the element to drop down the list of element values found in the document.
The tooltips for toggle for showing and hiding highlighting have been changed from “Switch on to Highlight” to “Switch on to show” and from “Switch off to Unhighlight” to “Switch off to hide."
This feature will load rows from tabular data formats (e.g. CSV, Excel) as the user scrolls down, instead of loading all the rows at one time. This allows for a smoother and faster user experience when dealing with large tabular datasets. All previous functionality, like name and address splitting, as well as mapping entities, will remain.
By placing the cursor on the document, reviewers can now tab through the PII elements selected for highlighting. Reviewers are able to clearly see where they are in a document as they tab or shift-tab through the highlighted PII checkboxes.
Canopy Standard Global Consolidation Ruleset and Merge Settings have been preloaded for you to use when you click on Run Consolidation.
You can now choose to export the Custodian field when exporting the Raw or Consolidated Entity List.
You can now view the Custodian field from the Raw and Consolidated Entity Views. The Custodian field contains all custodians associated with a document, whether de-duplicated or not, and is linked to a raw entity. This field is dynamically updated as raw entities are added, updated, or deleted. The Custodian field for a Consolidated view will contain a unique list of custodians derived from the raw entities that are merged to form a cluster. This feature is available only for newly added raw entities on a project.
To ensure consistency between the filtered viewed entities and the filtered exported entities, both functions now use the same API.
Hubspot integration for Hubspot Service Hub is completed.
The enhanced search bar indicates when a search has been changed, but not executed, by the presence of a magnifying glass. The presence of an X in the search bar means that the search has been executed. The text “Search results for” has been removed from the search chip beneath the search bar to allow for a future enhancement that will show filter chips on the same line as the search chip. The Advanced Search and Save Search buttons are now represented as icons to the right of the search bar.
The Custodian field column is no longer a mandatory Entity View column, as it was during beta.
We have enhanced our ability to detect when a TIFF needs to be rotated to improve both the quality of the OCR text and PII detection.
In addition, a TIFF is automatically saved in the proper orientation, so when a reviewer sees the TIFF page in the viewer, it has already been rotated.
The Document Info panel’s text has be realigned and fonts changed to conform to Canopy’s standard.
Setting up virtual MFA devices is now easier. Canopy users can choose from multiple authenticator apps that support Time-based One-time Password Algorithm (TOTP; specified in RFC 6238) and RFC4648 or RFC3548 Base32 encoding. In addition, Canopy users can now return to Personal Settings to confirm virtual MFA device setup.
Supported upload container file types are now limited to the following: .7z, .gz, .iso, .mbox, .pst, .rar, .vdi, .vhd, .vmdk, and .zip.
Once multifactor authentication (MFA) is turned on, then the tenant administrator will not be able to remove multifactor authentication. Email authentication will be set as the default MFA.
Descriptions of the configuration options presented on the Tenant->Security screen have been updated to be more user friendly.
This feature will allow customers to select New Zealand (NZ) and Australian (AU) address detection in the processing template. Customers will enjoy a faster and more accurate review and consolidation experience when Australian and New Zealand data is compromised.
This is a [BETA] detection feature.

If an entity has previously been bulk edited, only a review manager or admin level user is allowed to edit or delete the entity. Deletion authorizaton wasn’t following these established permissions, but now this issue has been fixed and deployed.
This bug that increased entity counts by one when merging master entities has been fixed for all cases, in old and new projects.
DBR-4884 When Toggle for “Only Grouped Entities” is ON, the Consolidation View Shows Merged Entities
Now, Canopy will always check all raw entities for their merged flag, and based on that conflict flag, the raw entities will be updated on the master list. Only grouped entities will be reflected on the list when “Only Grouped Entities” is toggled ON.
