We’ve refactored our core Processing engine to significantly improve speed, error handling and overall performance. Processing improvements include:

• Enhanced Excel Recovery: Improved error handling for corrupt Excel documents, enhancing Processing stability and diagnostics.
• Processing WMF and EMF files: Resolved an issue that previously prevented WMF and EMF files from being extracted correctly. These file types are now processed accurately.
• Faster Processing: Significantly improved processing speeds for TIFF images and PDF documents.
• Enhanced Image Processing Performance: Image Processing speeds have been increased by 400%.
• Processing Errors Tag: We’ve added detection for non-viewable PDFs. These affected files are now tagged with cpy_damaged_pdf or Damaged PDF, empowering you to quickly address issues and enhance your workflow.

Canopy has rolled out a new, comprehensive visual focused on clarity, intuitive navigation, and accessibility on the Documents page.

• Document List Actions: Available actions are now pinned to the top of the Document List for instant visibility. Options activate automatically once their specific criteria are met, streamlining your workflow.
• Search Bar:
  • We’ve refactored our Search History to show only the user’s own Search History. Cross-user search history visibility has been removed.
  • Clicking the search bar now instantly displays your most recent 50 searches, with real-time suggestions as you type.
  • Syntax Editor: We’ve now provided a new, expanded editor box which allows for easier navigation and modification of long, complex search strings.
• Filter Panel: Redesigned with a cleaner look, clearer hierarchy, and accessibility. Each filter element displays associated document counts, and it filters when you click on the checkbox.

We’ve upgraded our PII Detection engine to provide more reliable, comprehensive detection of Social Security Numbers. Enhancements to SSN detection include:

• Improve Accuracy: Refined contextual analysis and fine-tuned SSN pattern matching to reduce false positives and ensure higher accuracy in SSN identification.
• Enhanced Masking Support: Improved logics for identifying and detecting masked SSNs (e.g., xxx-12-1234)
• 4-Digit SSN Detection: Added support for identifying the last four digits of an SSN when the surrounding context indicates sensitive information.

Refer to the Consolidation documentation for details on how full and masked SSNs are handled during consolidation.

To provide better clarity on how entities are added, we’ve updated the tooltips within the Entities Module:

• Manually Added Entity: Identifies entities added by a human reviewer.
• Propagated/Auto Reviewed: Identifies entities added via Bulk Mapping or the Auto-Review.

Uploaded PDF files that’s non-viewable will now be tagged and marked as Damaged PDF in the Filter Panel’s Processing Errors/Warnings category.

We’ve completed a routine infrastructure upgrade to the Mongo Database. This upgrade directly improves performance for both Processing and Raw Entities List data grids.

We’ve fixed a bug where the Document Count persisted in the Gallery View after documents were deselected. The count now correctly clears upon deselection.
